Welcome to Summerfield, one of the best established Guest Houses in Bridlington, with a five star approach to customer service.
Summerfield is a traditional, classic Guest House organised around creating great memories and experiences for our guests, we are resident owners who are committed to providing excellent service.
At Summerfield you will find attention to detail and the desire to provide value for money is reflected in all we do, from serving a full English or Continental breakfast of your choice in the dining room each morning, to the provision of nine comfortable, en-suite bedrooms.
We are able to offer a variety of accommodation and have double, twin & single bedded rooms, including a double en-suite ground floor room. We also have secure cycle storage & charging facilities for mobility scooters on site.
We always aim to provide a welcoming environment where our guests can relax & enjoy all the many attractions that Bridlington has to offer.
Getting Here

We are situated within the Hilderthorpe Conservation Area, near the town centre and only about 45 meters, from the beautiful South Beach and Promenade and the popular Spa Theatre Complex is only three minutes level walk away.
The Guest House allows good access to public travel for guests without their own transport as both Train & Bus stations are situated within the town.
Parking
Free on-street parking is available outside the Guest House and the nearby surrounding area, but this is not a facility that can be reserved.
Due to variable availability all spaces directly outside the guesthouse are accessible on a first come first serve basis but most people can easily find parking within a few minutes level walk.
There is a side driveway at the property that can be used as a drop off point, or to load or unload luggage if required.
There is a small garage accessed via the driveway where we can facilitate the storage and recharging of mobility scooters & store cycles.
Bus Travel
EYMS is the main local bus company and it operates from Bridlington Bus Station, Princess Terrace, YO15 2RA situated in the town centre approximately one mile away, nearest stop to us is on Cardigan Road three minutes level walk.
From the Bus Station, Coastliner•Bus Service•845 runs 2–3•times•daily Leeds to Bridlington•via Tadcaster, York, Malton, Rillington, Sherburn, Filey and Primrose Valley.
National Express Services also operates from Bridlington Bus Station giving access to a large variety of destinations throughout the country.
All new buses which were built after 1st December 2000 must comply with the safety criteria to allow access to wheelchair users.

Rail
Bridlington Railway Station:
Station Approach, Bridlington, YO15 3EP is approximately 1 mile away. It is located on the•Yorkshire Coast Line•and is operated by•Northern Rail•who provide all passenger train services. Access Station information, train times etc. via www.nationalrail.co.uk
The station buffet at Bridlington is one of only three original station buffets left in the UK, and provides the prize winning flower display in the station.
The station is staffed part-time, covering approximately ‘ shop hours’.
Facilities include a waiting room, ticket office, lost property and car park.
Wheelchair access is not complete due to a bridge to platform 4, (for Scarborough), meaning access to that platform is via a barrow crossing on the track which may require staff assistance.
A ticket-vending machine was installed on 26 January 2011, near to the Council Information Point inside the concourse.
There is a half hourly service from the station to Hull on weekdays, with alternate departures continuing to•Doncaster•and•Sheffield•– some of these are limited stop either side of Hull whilst others serve most intermediate stations en-route.
In general the stopping pattern of the hourly Sheffield service is Bridlington, Driffield, Beverley, Cottingham, Hull, Brough, Goole,
Doncaster, Meadowhall and Sheffield.
here are also nine departures a day to Scarborough, the frequency varying between every ninety minutes and every two hours.
There is also one service each way to/from Sheffield that runs via Selby rather than the usual route via Goole.
On Sundays trains operate hourly to Hull and every second hour to Scarborough from mid-morning throughout the year, (rather than in summer only as before), with most of the Hull trains continuing to Sheffield via Doncaster.

Access at Summerfield Guest House
Entrance
There are two steps into the guest house reception measuring 14 cm & 21 cm respectively, a ramp is available on request.
Entrance hallway has a door width of 81 cm.
An Outline Plan of the building is displayed in the entrance hall.
Dining
The Dining Room is situated on the Ground Floor & has level access, door width 75 cm.
Bedrooms
We have one ground floor, double en-suite bedroom with access suitable for people with limited mobility; it has with 75 cm minimum door width.
The room & en-suite is not suitable for full time wheelchair users, guests need to be able to walk a few steps around the room & into the shower room.
En-suite door access is 62 cm wide, shower door access 55 cm with a 12 cm step into the shower. Shower stool available on request.
There are four, en-suite first floor bedrooms, three double rooms & one twin bedded room.
There are four second floor, en-suite bedrooms, one double room with dressing room, one small double room & two single rooms.
The en-suites in the two double, front bedrooms are accessed by one small step up.
Stairs
The Staircase to the first floor has fifteen steps, there is also a half landing with two further steps to two of the first floor bedrooms.
The Staircase to the second floor also has fifteen steps.
The stairways form the fire escape route for the Guest House; therefore guests accommodated on the first & second floors of the property should be able to use the stairs appropriately in an emergency.
